Frida Kahlo

“In her painting, Kahlo represents herself as a deer wounded by nine arrows. Kahlo painted it after a failed spinal surgery which just made her struggle more. As well as in many other artworks, the subject is in a desolate, empty landscape, which shows the artist’s sense of isolation and desperation.
