1. Bath Mat For Bathtub & Shower

Here you will see my honest reviews and experience of 4 bath mats and a bath rug (they are the best bath mats that I purchased and placed in my bathrooms).

Top 4 bath mats and rug in this review

EPICA Anti-Slip Anti-Bacterial Bath Mat 16″ x 28″

Simple Deluxe Anti-Bacterial Anti-Slip-Resistant Bath Mat, 16″ W x 39″ L

Oceanstar FM1163 Bamboo Floor and Shower Mat

Clara Clark Memory Foam, NonSlip Latex Free Plush Microfiber Bath Rug

Why I have to investigate on these bath mats and bath rug?

It’s not comfortable to step on wet tile or in a cold tub to take my bath, even the bathroom tub and floor are hazards for slipping and tripping, especially when it’s wet, I’m always worried someone in my family will fall and get hurt.

Fortunately, I did research and found the solution was easy. My best bath mat solves all the worries I had about slips and falls, plus they keep bathroom germs away. My family can relax in the bath without any worrying or uncomfortable.

Top 4 Best Bath Mats Reviews

EPICA Anti-Slip Anti-Bacterial Bath Mat

This non-slip mat from EPICA is my top choice for safety.

It sticks to the smooth floor of the bathtub with amazing tenacity. Good suction is essential in a bathtub mat, so EPICA definitely got five stars for that. Yes, I can sort of feel the little suction cups underneath, but not very much.

The top texture is pleasant to stand on, and isn’t slippery underfoot either, even with body wash and conditioner streaming across it. It makes me feel safer knowing I won’t slip in the tub.

As for good health, EPICA says that the mat is made from latex-free rubber. I appreciate this because I have a family member who suffers from a latex allergy. The mat causes no adverse reaction at all.

So far, the mat hasn’t shown signs of mold or mildew, either. It’s easy to clean in the washing machine. That’s important to keep my family healthy.

The rectangular mat is a good size for a bathtub. It doesn’t fill the entire length as it’s only 28 inches long, but that’s plenty for standing in the shower.

I love the EPICA bath mat. It has exactly zero cons. It’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do, and was worth every penny from its specifications:

  • Resists bacteria, mold, and mildew
  • Strong adhesion to the tub
  • Non-slip top surface
  • Fits standard-size bathtubs
  • Easy to clean

I also purchased a second bath mat that is a little longer. That way taking a sit-down bath would be more comfortable in the tub.

Simple Deluxe Anti-Bacterial & Slip-Resistant Bath Mat

The Simple Deluxe mat is 39 inches long. At just over three feet, it covers a great deal of the bathtub so I don’t slip when I’m seated or standing during a bath. Feeling safe makes bathing that much more relaxing.

Just like EPICA mat, the Simple Deluxe stays firmly stuck to the bottom of the tub. The top side has a texture that grips well even in soapy bath water. The mat drains well so it hasn’t developed problems with mildew or mold. I can toss it in the washing machine and keep it clean.

One of the other big selling points for me is that the Simple Deluxe mat is made from BPA-free vinyl. If I take a hot bath, I don’t want to sit in a chemical soup. I don’t want the kids to be exposed to it either. How about you?

Some highlights of the Simple Deluxe Bath Mat made me purchased:

  • Strong adhesion to the tub floor
  • Non-slip top surface drains well
  • Resists bacteria, mold, and mildew and BPA-free
  • Longer size fits well in standard-size bathtubs

I enjoy feeling safe in my bathtub with these two mats. But I also wanted something good to step out onto after a bath or shower. That’s when I found the Oceanstar Bamboo Mat.

Oceanstar FM1163 Bamboo Floor and Shower Mat

The Oceanstar Bamboo Floor and Shower Mat were exactly what I wanted for the bathroom floor right beside the bathtub. It made the bathroom look and feel like a spa. Plus, it keeps drips and spatters contained to one area.

The nine non-skid feet on the bottom hold the mat firmly in place on the floor. It’s much safer and feels a lot better to step out on the wooden surface instead of wet tiles or a rug that slides. It also protects the floor because its open design allows moisture to evaporate from underneath the mat.

Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial, so it resists bacteria, mildew, and mold. A quick wipe with a cloth and the mat is ready for the next bath. Once a week I wipe it down with all-natural Murphy’s Oil wood soap. I love that it’s easy to clean like this I can use fewer harsh chemicals around the house.

These are 3 highlights of the Oceanstar Bamboo Floor and Shower Mat which impressed me:

  • Naturally anti-microbial protects against bacteria, mold, and mildew
  • Easy to clean with non-toxic natural products
  • Adheres firmly to the floor

Last but not least, there is one more thing I added in my bathroom. I laid down a new plush bath rug.

Clara Clark Memory Foam, NonSlip Latex Free Plush Microfiber Bath Rug

The Clara Clark Memory Foam Bath rug is delicious to stand on in the bathroom. When they describe it as “plush,” they really mean it. The ultra-soft microfiber and memory foam feel fabulous under my feet. I wanted to carpet the whole house with this.

The underside of the mat has a non-slip surface so it stays put on the tiled floor. It doesn’t curl up or slide. This is important to me, especially in the bathroom.

Although the top surface isn’t very absorbent, it isn’t exposed to a lot of water like the bamboo mat is. It’s machine washable and can be dried in the dryer on low. It still looks and feels like new after a few washing.

Some highlights of the Clara Clark Memory Foam Bath rug I want to share here even you can find them somewhere:

  • Non-slip backing
  • Very comfortable
  • Easy to clean
  • Fade-resistant

Now you know all about my best bath mats, right? It’s funny how such small and simple things make such a positive difference in my comfort level day to day. Do you know what’s the mat you want to bring home?

5 Criteria I Used To Find The Best Bath Mat

The mats and rug I bought for my bathrooms made my home a safer place. They are useful, comfortable, and have stood up well to wear. The time I spent researching was a good investment to get exactly what I wanted.

These are the features and criteria I looked for when I researched mats, you can take it as your reference when you buy your bath mat.

I’m sure you’ve heard that accidents happen the most at home. Slips and falls in the bathroom are very common. Bathtubs and tiled floors are slippery by design so they are easy to clean, and the danger level rises when they are wet.

A bath mat with strong adhesion protects against falls in the tub. A bath rug with a non-skid bottom protects against slips and trips outside the bath.

Good for health

Bathrooms harbor a lot of germs and moisture. Rugs and mats that resist bacteria, mold, and mildew are essential. They also need to be easy to clean.

I preferred bath mats made with non-allergenic and non-toxic chemicals so I’d never worry about exposing my family or a guest to something harmful.

If the rugs and mats are hard to scrub or need special treatment to stay clean, they aren’t as likely to get the attention they need. When looking for mats and rugs, I preferred ones that were machine-washable and didn’t need special care or harsh cleansers.

Promoting safety and good health is all well and good. But if a bath mat it isn’t comfortable, no one will use it.

Daily use and regular washing will make low-quality mats fade and fall apart. I wanted well-made products that would endure so I would get the most bang for my buck.

Other criteria

Bath mats are decorative as well as useful. I like the bright blue of the Simple Deluxe because it made my bath water seem more refreshing. The bamboo mat made the bathroom feel more luxurious. The rectangular shape of all my mats fits well with the architecture of the bathroom., while the black rug coordinated well with the colors of my fixtures. Since bath mats tend to be inexpensive, I didn’t worry about the price.

My Recommendation

A safe bath is a relaxing bath. Placing these mats in my home made me feel safer and made my bathroom easier to keep clean and dry. Let me recap what I liked about each product so you can decide if they work for you too:

  • The EPICA bath mat was my top pick for its superior grip on my bathtub floor. It’s anti-microbial and easy to clean in the washing machine. Made from natural rubber, it has no latex. (Check Price)
  • The Simple Deluxe mat covers a larger area of my tub, so it’s ideal for baths. It adheres well to the bathtub with hundreds of suction cups. Made with no BPA, it’s also anti-microbial and machine-washable. (Check Price)
  • The Oceanstar Bamboo mat is perfect for stepping out of the tub. It stays put on the tiled floor. The bamboo naturally resists bacteria and mildew and is easy to clean. (Check Price)
  • The Clara Clark Memory Foam bath rug has a non-skid bottom that won’t slide on damp floors. It’s very comfortable to stand on and doesn’t retain moisture. It’s machine-washable and fade-resistant. (Check Price)

Now it’s your turn to make your bathroom safer and more enjoyable with bath mats and rugs. It’s an easy and inexpensive upgrade.

Thank you for reading this review. I hope this guide helped you select new bath mats and bath rugs for your home.

2. Toilet Plunger

You never know how important it is to have a plunger at home until someone in the family clogs the toilet.

Top 4 Toilet Plungers In This Review

1. simplehuman Toilet Plunger

2. Neiko 60166A Toilet Plunger with Patented All-Angle Design

3. Korky 99-4A Max Performance Plunger

4. Blue Donuts Aerated Toilet Plunger in Chrome Finish

When our toilet clogged, I resolved to buy the best toilet plunger I could find. I wanted one that everyone in the family could use successfully.

If you’ve ever had to unclog a toilet, you know that the design of the plunger makes all the difference. I wanted our new plunger to do the job as quickly and as neatly as possible with the least amount of effort.

After researching, I purchased the simplehuman brand toilet plunger. Not only was it powerful, it came with a nifty cover to keep things neat and clean.

I’d like to tell you more about it below.

Top 4 Best Toilet Plungers Reviews

simplehuman White Toilet Plunger

In my opinion, the best toilet plunger for my home is this one from simplehuman. I like it for several reasons.

One, the flange on the rubber cup fits perfectly in my toilet. The tight seal it creates allows me to plunge with less effort and get quick results.

If you’ve ever tried to use a plunger with the wrong size or shape of a cup, you know how difficult it can be to clear a toilet.

Two, the handle is made of stainless steel. It feels very sturdy. I like the handle because it’s long enough to be comfortable to use and has a rounded top that fits into my palm.

Three, the plunger comes with a dome-shaped base that hides the cup from view. The cover has a magnetic lip so it stays attached to the steel plunger handle, but it isn’t hard to remove.

I can lift the whole thing at once by gripping just the handle. I love having the cover so the plunger doesn’t drip toilet water on the floor.

Four, the white-tipped handle and white dome cover look neat and clean in my bathroom. The manufacturer offers this plunger in black in case you prefer that color.

Now, there are a couple of potential cons with the simplehuman plunger. I’d seen a couple of user reviews that said the handle may rust if the plunger is used a lot. I haven’t seen that happen to mine yet.

Also, keep in mind that the cup shape on this plunger may not be ideal for your style of toilet. The flange works better on toilets with a narrow opening at the bottom of the bowl.

In a nutshell, here’s a quick summary of this plunger.

Pros of the simplehuman plunger:

  • Narrow flange on the large rubber cup forms a tight seal in modern toilets
  • Sturdy stainless steel handle with rounded top feels comfortable in my hand
  • Magnetic base hides and secures plunger and protects against dripping
  • Comes in two color schemes: white with chrome and black with chrome
  • Plunger head is replaceable

  • A few users have had problems with the handle rusting
  • May not fit every toilet perfectly

Of course, before I purchased this plunger, I researched other options. I’d like to tell you about them to help you choose the best one for your home.

Neiko 60166A All-Angle Design Toilet Plunger

Where the simplehuman plunger is tapered to fit in modern toilets, the Neiko 60166A plunger has a large wide rubber cup to accommodate all types of toilets.

The cup’s flange tapers down in gradual steps to seal tightly against various sizes of openings. The plunger works at any angle. The cup also has no internal ridges so water doesn’t stay trapped inside.

The aluminum handle is lightweight but sturdy. It’s also resistant to rust.

Although there is a hole at the top where you can hang it on a hook or nail, there is no cover or base to hide the plunger or keep toilet water from dripping onto the floor.

The main con for me is the narrow top of the handle. The top is rounded but small, not comfortably molded like on the simplehuman plunger. Pushing down on the end of the handle isn’t pleasant at all.

Pros of the Neiko 60166A plunger:

  • Fits any toilet and works at any angle
  • The aluminum handle is lightweight and doesn’t rust

  • No cover or base to protect against drips or disguise the plunger
  • The end of the handle is narrow and uncomfortable to push on while plunging

While the Neiko 60166A fits nearly any toilet, the next plunger fits most American models, plus the handle is easier to use.

Korky 99-4A Max Performance Plunger

The Korky 99-4A struck me as a no-nonsense plunger. Like the simplehuman model, the Korky has a tapered flange that fits down inside a toilet bowl opening to create a tight seal.

The large rubber cup gives it a great deal of power without a lot of effort.

Korky says their 99-4A fits American Standard, Kohler, and TOTO model toilets. Some users who claimed to have one of these brand toilets complained that the 99-4A doesn’t fit their particular model.

You might want to double-check your own toilet if you want to purchase this plunger.

On the upside, the plastic handle has a grip bar at the top. This makes it much easier to control while plunging. It feels much nicer in the hand than the Neiko plunger does.

And for those who prefer to buy American-made products, the 99-4A is made in the USA.

Pros of the Korky 99-4A plunger

  • Large rubber cup has a lot of power and tapers to fit most toilet models
  • The plastic handle grip is comfortable to use and easy to control
  • Made in the USA

  • No drip cover or base
  • May not fit as many brands of toilets as the manufacturer claims

There is one more toilet plunger I discovered while researching. You might prefer it for your home if you’re looking for a smaller design.

Blue Donuts Aerated Toilet Plunger in Chrome Finish

Blue Donuts artfully disguised their Aerated Toilet Plunger in a ventilated metal container. It looks exactly like it’s a toilet brush until you pull it out of the can. Then you can see the black rubber cup with the narrow flange.

If you want to thoroughly hide the fact that you have a plunger in your bathroom, this might be the one to get.

The metal container is handy because the cup of the plunger has an internal lip that retains a little water after plunging if you don’t take the time to shake it well. But once you store the plunger in the can, it can drip dry.

The metal handle has a rounded end so it’s reasonably comfortable to hold and use. The lid to the container is permanently attached to the handle. This is a bit annoying because the plunger handle is short.

You may find yourself scraping your toilet bowl with the lid as you work.

If you want a plunger that can be hidden completely but still is handy, this might be the one for you. It comes in both Bronze and Chrome colors.

Pros of the Blue Donuts Aerated toilet plunger:

  • Comes in two colors
  • Very well disguised
  • The metal container allows the plunger to drip dry out of sight
  • Rounded end on the handle is reasonably comfortable to use

  • Small size measures only 18-inches long
  • Container lid is permanently attached to the handle

All of these plungers have good features. It just depends on what you want for your home. The simplehuman plunger is working very well in my house.

How To Find The Best Toilet Plungers

In order to choose the best plunger to help my family clear toilet clogs, I did a lot of research. Price wasn’t a big issue since these are inexpensive items.

Instead, I considered what the manufacturers said about their products and also read many user reviews. I came up with certain criteria to help me choose the best plunger for us. I hope that these features can help you decide which plunger meets your needs, too.

Criteria for choosing the best toilet plunger

  1. Tight seal in the toilet bowl
  2. Large cup for extra power
  3. Strong and comfortable handle
  4. Protective container to collect drips and keep the floor clean
  5. Style and color that fit the design of my bathroom

If the plunger makes a tight seal, it will force water out of the toilet more quickly and with more power, clearing the clog.

A large cup size allows the plunger to hold more water and send more volume through at once. This also increases power and efficiency.

Since plunging takes some strength and effort, a strong and comfortable handle is essential.

A protective container isn’t essential for everyone. I preferred it so I can keep the plunger at hand in my bathroom. The cover disguises the plunger and keeps my bathroom looking neat and clean.

If you plan to have your plunger out where it’s seen, you may want to choose one that matches the style and color of your bathroom.

Conclusion And Recommendation

Having the best toilet plunger did two things for me. I stopped worrying about toilet clogs at inconvenient times because now I could clear them quickly.

I also feel better knowing that the plunger is easy enough to use that anyone in the family could take care of the problem if I wasn’t home.

With that said, I’d like to recap what I liked about each plunger so you can decide if which one is the best for you.

simplehuman Toilet Plunger – The narrow flange on the large rubber cup forms a tight seal in modern toilets. It has a sturdy stainless steel handle with a large rounded top.

The magnetic base hides and secures the plunger, and protects against dripping. The base and handle come in two color schemes.

If you ever need a new cup, the plunger head is replaceable.

If you prefer an elegant plunging solution for your bathroom, consider my personal favorite, the simplehuman plunger. It will help you clear a clog with the least effort possible and keep the mess to a minimum.

Neiko 6-166A Toilet Plunger – The gradually tapered cup fits any toilet and works at any angle.

The aluminum handle is lightweight and doesn’t rust.

If you have a variety of toilet styles in your home, the Neiko 60166A has a large cup that fits almost every sit-down flush toilet found in homes today.

Korky 94-A Toilet Plunger – Its large rubber cup has a lot of power and tapers to fit most American toilet models. The plunger itself is made in the USA.

The plastic handle has a unique grip on the end that is comfortable to use. If you perform maintenance and need an inexpensive plunger in your tool kit, the Korky 99-4A fits most models of toilets.

It’s powerful and comfortable to use.

Blue Donuts Aerated Toilet Plunger – This plunger comes in two color schemes to better match your bathroom.

The metal container completely hides that this is a plunger. It also allows the plunger to drip dry without making a mess.

The handle is short, but the rounded end is pretty comfortable to use. If you want a small plunger that is completely disguised, take a look at the one made by Blue Donuts.

I like my new plunger because it helps me take care of clogs without wasting time or getting stressed. Thank you for reading this review.

I hope it helps you choose the best toilet plunger for your needs.

3. 360 Spin Mop

When I found the 18-inch Professional Microfiber Mop from Microfiber Wholesale, I was delighted with four features right away.

This is definitely one of the best spin mop (360 spin mop) I’ve ever used to clean my home.

Top 4 360 Spin Mops In This Review

1. 18″ Professional Microfiber Mop from Microfiber Wholesale (+ 2 FREE Microfiber Cloths)

2. O-Cedar ProMist Microfiber Spray Mop

3. Mopnado Stainless Steel Deluxe Rolling Spin Mop (with 2 Microfiber Mop Heads)

4. O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop and Bucket System

Remember those string mops everyone used to clean their floors?

They were hard to wring out and difficult to control. They harbored bad smells, tangled and knotted up, and weren’t easy to clean. I tossed out all of our old mops and upgraded my family to a new and better way to clean our house.

There are many easy-to-use mops available now. It’s actually a little hard to choose between them.

I researched the best mops on the market and narrowed down my selection to four.

I’d like to tell you about them all, beginning with the mop that my family is currently using and enjoying.

Top 4 Best Spin Mop Reviews

18″ Professional Microfiber Mop from Microfiber Wholesale

When I found the 18-inch Professional Microfiber Mop from Microfiber Wholesale as the best spin mop for my house, I was delighted with four features right away.

  • First, the wide width meant that I could clean floors quickly in record time.
  • Second, the rectangular format meant it would be easy to clean corners.
  • Third, the handle length is adjustable so that either adult or children helping with chores, can comfortably clean.
  • And fourth, the mop came with both a dusting pad and two wet mop pads.

The dust mop pad is perfect for dusting pet hair and crumbs from wood and tile floors. A quick pass with the vacuum and the debris I just gathered up is gone. The pad is ready for more work. It’s a lot better than a Swiffer (in my opinion) because it covers more area faster, and the pads are washable and reusable.

This isn’t your typical wet mop, either. It’s too large to fit in a normal bucket. But I’ve found that using a bucket isn’t necessary.

When I want to wet mop, I dust first with the dry pad. Then I dampen a wet mop pad and mount it on the mop. I mix up a cleaning solution in a spray bottle and spritz the floor as I mop. After all the floors are clean, I toss both pads into the washing machine and then let them air dry.

I love this method of cleaning because there is no heavy bucket with filthy water to empty.

The mop is strong and resistant to rust because it’s made of stainless steel.

It’s super simple to attach and remove pads – just press the mop onto them or pull them off the mop. This is definitely one of the easiest tools I’ve ever used to clean my home.

  • 18-inch width cleans floors quickly
  • The rectangular format makes it easy to clean corners, plus the head swivels
  • Handle length adjusts from 4 to 6 feet in length
  • Comes with dust pad and wet mop pads
  • Pads are easy to swap and machine-washable
  • This spin mob needs no bucket for wet mopping

  • The only con for me is having to buy another set of pads so I always have a clean set ready to use, but they aren’t expensive
  • Some people may miss using a bucket for wet mopping

While my family is making good use of this best 360 spin mop, you may prefer a mop that is even easier to wet and use like the O-Cedar described below.

O-Cedar ProMist Microfiber Spray Mop

The O-Cedar ProMist Microfiber Spray Mop doesn’t need a bucket for wet mopping.

It comes with a refillable bottle where you can mix and mount your own cleaning solution. As you clean the floor, squeeze the trigger in the handle to spray cleaner in a wide path in front of the mop.

The microfiber pad that comes with the mop has raised “scrub zones” little brush-like protrusions, that help clean grimy areas.

The pad is machine-washable, just like the ones that come with the mop my family is using (above).

While you can use the O-Cedar to dust floors, it’s really designed to be an all-in-one tool for wet mopping. It has a head that swivels 360 degrees so you can get into all those tight corners.

I decided against this mop for a few reasons. One, while the pads are reusable, they can only be washed up to 100 times.

The mop head is about the size of a Swiffer, quite a bit smaller than the 18-inch mop we purchased for our home. And there have been some complaints that the cleaning solution tends to leak.

  • All-in-one solution to clean floors—lifts dust and wet-mops at the same time
  • Head swivels 360 degrees
  • Wide-mount refillable bottle is easy to remove, fill, and mount on the mop

  • Some users find that the cleaning solution bottle leaks
  • The mop head is small
  • Pads can be washed only up to 100 times

If spraying liquid on the floor doesn’t sound as good as using an old-fashioned bucket, take a look at the Mopnado reviewed below.

Mopnado Stainless Steel Deluxe Rolling Spin Mop with 2 Microfiber Mop Heads – Lime

I admit that the Mopnado caught my eye for a long time. It’s quite the cleaning tool as you can use it for floors or on walls or windows.

Like our 18-inch mop, the Mopnado also has a handle that adjusts to different lengths, out to 56-inches total. But that’s about all the similarity there is.

The Mopnado comes with a bucket because it’s only a wet mop. This is one of the reasons I chose the 18-inch mop from Microfiber Wholesale – it has the flexibility to do wet and drop mopping.

But as a wet mop, the Mopnado shines.

The bucket itself is a wonder. The spin dry basket is made from stainless steel to make it super strong and keep it from retaining odors.

The bucket has a spin agitation system on the bottom to pull dirt from the mop head while you rinse it.

You can move from room to room without straining your back because the heavy-duty plastic bucket has wheels and a retractable handle. There’s even a built-in soap dispenser system.

The mop handle is also full of surprises. It has gears inside the mop head that make it easier to rinse and wring out the mop.

The head swivels 180 degrees or locks in place so you can clean windows with it, too.

It comes with a scrubber brush attachment and two microfiber mop heads that are machine-washable.

Mopnado offers a 1-year warranty. They say their mop pads last 6 to 8 months and they sell refills.

  • Bucket and mop are designed to be very effective at rinsing and wringing
  • The bucket has wheels and extendable handle, as well as a soap dispenser
  • Mop has an extendable handle
  • Mop head swivels or locks into place for overhead cleanings, like on windows
  • Comes with machine-washable microfiber pads and a scrub brush attachment
  • 1-year warranty

  • This is a wet mop only, designed to be used with the included bucket
  • Mop pads last 6 to 8 months

If the Mopnado is a little more than you need, you might enjoy the O-Cedar Spin Mop below.

O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop and Bucket System

Besides their ProMist Spray Mop described above, O-Cedar also sells this Easy Wring 360 Spin Mop and Bucket system.

When it’s time to wring out the mop, you pedal with your foot on the lever to spin the basket and dry the mop pad. The splash guard helps keep the water in the bucket as you rinse and wring.

The microfiber mop pad is machine-washable, but users report that it’s a bit difficult to separate from the mop head.

The mop head and pad have a triangular shape and they pivot to better clean corners and tight areas.

Like my mop and the Mopnado, this one has an extendable handle, but it only reaches 51 inches for its maximum length. One other downside to this mop is that I found a few reports where users said the pedal broke after some months of use.

One other downside to this mop is that I found a few reports where users said the pedal broke after some months of use, but I guess that’s just in the case they stepped their foot too hard.

  • Microfiber mop pad is washable
  • Mop bucket has a foot pedal to spin wring the mop
  • Splash guard helps keep water in the bucket while you rinse and spin
  • Triangular shape and pivoting head make it easy to clean corners and between furniture
  • Handle extends to 51 inches in length

  • Some users find that the pedal breaks after months of use
  • Maximum handle extension may be too short for taller users

Now that you’ve seen my top picks for mops, here are the features I used to help me decide.

4 Main Features Of The Best Mops For Home Use

As I considered all the many mops on the market, I set some criteria to help me find the best mop for my home. Here’s what I used:

  • Simple to use and easy to maintain
  • Reusable pads
  • Able to dry and wet mop
  • Any replaceable parts needed to be readily available and not too expensive

I wanted a mop that would be simple to use and easy to maintain. I have people of all ages at home and most of them help with the chores.

Reusable pads were a priority because they keep costs down and are better for the environment.

I like multi-purpose tools, so the ability to do both dusting and wet mopping is definitely a bonus. It saves me money and time to have one mop for both jobs.

Replaceable parts, like mop pads, needed to be readily available and not too expensive.

To conclude this review, I would like to quickly recap the highlights of each mop for you.

The 18-inch Professional Microfiber Mop from Microfiber Wholesale is the one I chose for my home. It has a wide rectangular mop head that pivots and a long, adjustable-length handle.

Mop pads are machine-washable and very easy to remove and mount. I can dust the floors and wet mop them with the same tool.

The O-Cedar ProMist Microfiber Spray Mop has a wide-mouth refillable bottle that holds your cleaning solution. You can spray the liquid onto the floor in front of the mop so you don’t need a bucket.

The microfiber pads are machine-washable and have a raised scrubby texture.

The Mopnado Stainless Steel Deluxe Rolling Spin Mop is like the Cadillac of wet mops. It has a superior agitation and wrings system.

The bucket has wheels and a telescoping handle for easy transport. The mop pads are machine-washable.

The O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop and Bucket have a foot pedal to spin the bucket’s basket and wring out the mop. The splash guard helps keep the water in the bucket, not spilled on the floor.

The triangular mop microfiber head pivots and fits into tight places.

If you would like an all-in-one dry and wet mop system, check out the 18-inch Professional Microfiber Mop from Microfiber Wholesale that my family is using. The long handle is very comfortable for taller users.

If your goal is to get a wet mop only, you have other choices. If you prefer a traditional bucket system, take a look at the Mopnado and the O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop.

Persons with back problems will especially appreciate the wheels and handle on the Mopnado.

If you want a wet mop, but don’t need or want a bucket, consider the 18-inch mop from Microfiber Wholesale or the O-Cedar ProMist Spray Mop.

Cleaning is all too often a chore instead of a pleasure, but the right tools make the job easier and faster.

I hope this review helped you choose the best spin mop for your home, one that will save you time and effort.

4. Shower Squeegee

There was mold growing in our shower because the bathroom stayed damp after anyone took a bath. To combat this problem, we took one step that worked surprisingly well. We invested in the best shower squeegee.

After each shower, we use the squeegee to remove excess water from the shower doors and walls as well as the mirror. The process takes less than a minute, but we’ve noticed two positive results. The main one is that we have less mold. The second is that it keeps the shower doors and mirror looking sparkly clean.

2. Bathroom Shower Squeegee by HASKO Accessories

3. Squeegee for Shower, Window and Car Glass from desired tools

I’d like to tell you about the three best shower squeegees, beginning with the one I bought for the bathroom. I hope you’ll find one suited to your home too.

The Quntis Stainless Steel Shower Squeegee caught my eye because of its sleek design. Hanging on its hook in the bathroom, it looks stylish. I especially like the smooth, ergonomic handle and silicone blade. Both parts are easy to clean with just water, and they remain sanitary.

The inclusion of a mounting hook with a suction cup was a brilliant idea. It keeps the squeegee close at hand, ready for use, not forgotten in a cupboard somewhere.

The tool itself weighs less than half a pound and measures just under ten inches wide. It fits the shower stall doors perfectly, and it’s light enough that the kids can manage it. The blade works just as advertised, removing water with ease. The only downside is that the handle can be a little slippery if my hands are wet.

Finally, Quntis offers a 30-day money-back guarantee as well as a one-year replacement warranty.

  • Stainless steel handle is a sleek, modern design
  • Silicone blade removes water efficiently
  • Suction cup mount keeps squeegee close at hand
  • Money-back guarantee and one-year warranty

  • Handle is a little slippery if the user’s hands are wet or soapy

There is a similar product made by a different company. I’ll describe it for you below.

Bathroom Shower Squeegee Chrome Plated Stainless Steel with Matching Suction Cup Hook by HASKO Accessories

Bathroom Shower Squeegee by HASKO Accessories

Although the HASKO shower squeegee has two ways you can mount it, I wasn’t a fan of the hole in its handle. I know from experience that gunk builds up in places like those, and that makes the squeegee unsanitary.

At first glance, this stainless steel tool looks a lot like the one from Quntis. They are about the same size. But there are critical differences between them. For one, the blade on the HASKO squeegee is rubber, not silicone. And based on all the complaints I saw online, plus my own experience with blades like these, I decided against this purchase. This type isn’t as capable of cleaning surfaces.

The second difference is the suction cup mount for hanging the squeegee. It has a knob to tighten to increase its sticking power. The company points out that the cup will not adhere to surfaces like unfinished marble, wood, painted walls, or porcelain. I saw some reviews that said the cups wouldn’t stay stuck where placed.

Since this squeegee comes with a 90-day money-back guarantee, you would have plenty of time to try it out and see what you think. And since both the handle and mount are chrome-plated, they should remain rust-free for a long time.

  • Chrome-plated stainless steel handle with chrome-plated mount
  • 90-day money-back guarantee

  • Handle has opening where bacteria and residue can build up
  • Many complaints about ineffective cleaning ability of the blade

Squeegee for Shower, Window and Car Glass from desired tools

Squeegee for Shower, Window and Car Glass from desired tools

My final choice is the squeegee from desired tools. It’s certainly not as elegant as the previous two products, but it’s comfortable to use. It only weighs four ounces and has a plastic handle with foam padding for better grip.

The downside to the foam handle is that it is more likely to harbor germs and stay damp when left in the shower. But even if you decided against this tool for your bathroom, you might like it for your car or other cleaning duties around the house.

The squeegee comes with three silicone blades, and it’s covered by a 40-day money-back guarantee plus a one-year warranty.

  • Lightweight with padded grip
  • Silicone blades
  • 40-day money-back guarantee and one-year warranty

  • Foam cover on handle can harbor germs

How I Chose The Best Shower Squeegee

I rarely make shopping decisions in a hurry because I think beforehand about what features are most important to me. With regards to buying a shower squeegee, I had these two concerns:

  • Effective blades for efficient cleaning as quickly as possible
  • Appearance
  • I wanted a tool that would clean water efficiently, and silicone blades were my preferred choice. As for appearance, I wanted the squeegee close at hand, ready to use after each bath. This meant that it needed to look smart enough to remain in full view. I found that the Quntis squeegee met all my needs admirably.

Conclusion and Recommendation

I’ll quickly recap the highlights of these three products. The Quntis shower squeegee is my top pick because its silicone blades clean various surfaces well. It’s a downright pretty tool that looks nice mounted on its suction cup in the shower stall.

The HASKO squeegee also comes with a suction-cup mounting hook and it looks quite shiny and modern.

Finally, while the desired tools squeegee isn’t as beautiful, it’s comfortable to hold and use, plus it comes with extra blades.

To sum up, you may find, as I did, that using a shower squeegee will help you keep mold under control. It also speeds up the cleaning process because there is less to scrub off the shower doors and walls. You may find you want more than one of these handy tools to help you clean all around the house. I hope my reviews helped you choose the best ones for your home today.

5. Bathtub Caddy Tray

Have you ever taken a bath to unwind after a hard day? If you love a long, hot soak, you’ve probably gotten into the tub with a book or perched a wine glass on the rim. But then you’re stuck holding up things instead of relaxing. In my home, we found the perfect way to enjoy bath time with everything we need close at hand.

Now we have a bathroom caddy tray that sits on top of the bathtub. It’s convenient because it holds items like a tablet, a wine glass, and more. Next, I’ll tell you about the tray I selected, then describe a couple of close runner-ups I also liked.

Top 3 Bathtub Caddy Trays

2. Bath Dreams Bamboo Bathtub Caddy Tray with Extending Sides

ROYAL CRAFT WOOD Luxury Bathtub Caddy Tray

ROYAL CRAFT WOOD Luxury - Best Bathtub Caddy Tray Reviews

The ROYAL CRAFT WOOD bamboo bathtub caddy tray has been a treat to use when I’m in the bath. The wood is naturally water-resistant and coated with lacquer, so I don’t worry about it warping or getting mildew. Then, it adjusts between 29.5 and 43 inches in width to fit our bathtub perfectly. And the silicone pads on the bottom ensure that the caddy stays put.

I like that there is an adjustable reading stand to support books and tablets in an upright position. The slotted surface in front of the support holds up to a 12-inch wide item. And if you don’t want to use the stand, it folds down out of the way.

Besides the tabletop in the middle, you can move the two side trays, or take them out completely. There are also other convenient parts to the caddy’s design, like a slotted groove to hold a wine glass, a recessed circle for a candle or mug, and a slot large enough to prop up a smartphone.

Finally, the ROYAL CRAFT WOOD tub tray comes with a bamboo soap dish. It’s a nice touch that ties the caddy in with our bathroom décor.

  • Water-resistant bamboo construction with lacquer coating
  • Adjusts between 20-1/2 and 43 inches in width
  • Silicone grips keep it from sliding on slick porcelain
  • Adjustable book stand, detachable trays, drink holders
  • Covered by 100% money-back guarantee

  • We haven’t discovered any cons yet

We’ve been enjoying the ROYAL CRAFT WOOD bath caddy on a regular basis. So far, we have no intention of taking advantage of their 100% money-back guarantee because we’re quite happy. But do take a look at the other trays we reviewed below in case you prefer a different size or style.

Bath Dreams Bamboo Bathtub Caddy Tray with Extending Sides

Bath Dreams Bamboo Bathtub Caddy Tray with Extending Sides

The Bath Dreams bamboo bathtub caddy tray has a simpler design than the one we bought, and it’s a little bit smaller, too. It adjusts between 27-3/4 and 41-1/2 inches in width, which will probably fit most standard bathtubs. But be careful to ensure it will suit yours with room to spare because there are no non-slip grips to keep it from sliding around.

Similar to the other caddy above, the Bath Dreams model has an adjustable reading stand. On one side of the stand, there is a slot for a wine glass. On the other side, there is a small flat surface where you could place a mug or shaving cream and a razor. But there isn’t much space for anything else.

  • Water-resistant bamboo body
  • Adjusts between 27-3/4 and 41-1/2 inches in width
  • Adjustable book stand with three positions and drink holder

  • No non-slip grips

Less surface space than the other caddies in this review

Perhaps you like the Bath Dreams caddy, but want something that offers you a little more room. Check out the next tray below.

Expandable Bamboo Bathtub Caddy by ComfySure

Expandable Bamboo Bathtub Caddy by ComfySure

ComfySure’s bamboo bathtub caddy expands out from 29 to 44 inches, making it the most expansive one in our review today. It’s also 9 inches wide. And the features it offers are a step up from the Bath Dreams tray.

Of course, there are the usual features like an adjustable reading stand, cup and glass holders. But there is also a sliding tray and a slot to support a smartphone. And the manufacturer points out that this caddy can also serve as a portable desk when you’re sitting in a chair, not a tub.

  • Water-resistant bamboo from sustainable harvests
  • Adjusts between 29 and 44 inches in width
  • Adjustable book stand, movable tray, and drink holders

  • No non-slip grips to prevent sliding

Now that you’ve seen all three bathtub caddies, I’d like to tell you how I made my choice between them.

Criteria for choosing the best bathtub caddy tray

Like many of the products I review, a bathtub tray isn’t expensive, but it adds a lot to the comfort of my family. When I began shopping for one, I considered these three qualities:

  • Size to fit bathtub
  • Space for items
  • Durability

In my opinion, the ROYAL CRAFT WOOD tray meets all of these requirements. For one, it expands out wide enough to rest safely on the lip of my tub. Plus, the non-slip grips keep it in place.

Second, there is plenty of space for everything I might want to use during a bath, from reading material to shaving cream, a washcloth, and a drink.

And third, the caddy tray is made of water-resistant bamboo with a coating to protect it for longer. It seems like this will be an investment that won’t need replacing for a long time.

I hope you enjoyed discovering these three bathtub caddy trays with me today. Visit here again soon to see what new furnishings I’ll be enjoying at my home.

6. Drain Auger Snake

Have you ever had a clog that a plunger couldn’t fix? In our home, we faced this problem a lot until I installed drain hair catchers. But once in a while we still have issues with the plumbing. As a result, we now have a drain auger to clear out pipe clogs.

A drain auger, also known as a drain snake, is an essential tool. Once you learn to use it, the drain auger will save you time and money because you won’t need to call a plumber to fix most drain problems.

Today I’ll discuss three of the best drain snakes, including the one I purchased for my house. I hope that this article will help you discover the perfect drain auger for your home as well.

Top 3 Drain Augers

1. Vastar 19.6 Inch Drain Snake

2. Dr.Drain Drain Auger with Gloves

3. General Pipe Cleaners Toilet Auger with Down Head

Once I asked a professional plumber to teach me how to use an auger to unclog a pipe. He was at my home performing that very task. I quickly realized it wasn’t hard to clear a clog with a drain snake. It mainly required patience.

When I began shopping for a drain auger, I wanted one that would be straightforward for myself and others in my family to use. I ended up with the Vastar Drain Snake which I will describe for you now.

The Best Drain Auger Reviews

Vastar 3 Pack 19.6 Inch Drain Snake Hair Drain Clog

Best Drain Auger - Vastar 3 Pack 19.6 Inch Drain Snake Hair Drain Clog

Vastar’s bright orange drain augers are less than two feet long, which is sufficient to clear sink and shower drains of hair and debris. They come in a pack of three, so you can store one in each bathroom plus the kitchen.

These plastic wands have barbed points that hook onto obstructions like hair and food chunks. One end of the wand has a loop handle to help you manipulate the auger as you fish for debris. Once you feel you’ve latched onto the blockage, just slowly retract the snake to remove it and the gunk along with it.

Although they are made of durable ABS plastic, the augers are flexible enough to enter smoothly in the U-shaped part of the pipe under your sink. This section is called the P-trap, and it’s where you’ll find most of the clogs.

One of the best features of the Vastar Drain Snake is that you probably won’t have to remove pop-up stoppers to clear clogs. The snake, even with its barbs, comfortably fits into most drain openings.

Another highlight is that Vastar offers an 18-month warranty on the augers. Their customer service is also prompt in answering questions.

In summary, the Vastar Drain Snakes are easy to use in a variety of sinks, tubs, and shower drains, and they won’t scratch the porcelain. They will save you from spending money on chemical drain cleaners and plumbing services.

  • Ideal for clearing sink, shower, and tub drains of typical blockages caused by hair and soap buildup
  • Fit into most drains even if they have pop-up stoppers
  • Loop handle helps the user maintain control with only one hand
  • Barbs grab clogged materials to retrieve them
  • Plastic wands will never rust
  • Come with 18-month warranty

  • Too short if the blockage is more than 20 inches down the pipe

But what if you can’t clear a blockage because it’s too far down for the Vastar Drain Snake to reach? You might prefer the next tool instead.

Dr.Drain VEDRAU01A1 Augers Plumbing Snake Pipe Cleaner

Dr.Drain VEDRAU01A1 Augers Plumbing Snake Pipe Cleaner

You may discover that you need a longer auger. Here is one that you can insert in household drains as well as outdoor downspouts. The Dr.Drain plumbing snake is a 25-foot long flexible coiled wire that will reach much farther than the Vastar tool can.

One of my favorite features of this auger is that it coils up inside a plastic drum for storage. The drum has a screw you can turn to lock the cable when you want to move the drain snake around inside the pipe without extending it further.

You can also see that the auger has a pistol grip that you hold in one hand while you turn the wheel on the drum with the other. Depending on the direction you turn, the steel cable extends or retracts. Once you sense the blockage, you can work it loose, then flush with water to see how it drains.

There are two things to watch out for when you use a tool like the Dr.Drain pipe cleaner. One, it doesn’t have a rubber tip so it could leave scratches on the porcelain of your sink or toilet. And two, it’s smart to clean it, let it dry, then oil it before you store it.

  • Made for clearing sink, shower, and tub drains as well as toilets and outdoor downspouts
  • 25-foot length reaches distant clogs
  • Stores in a plastic drum

  • Requires two hands to operate
  • Steel wire needs to be cleaned and dried plus oiled to increase lifetime of the tool
  • Metal will scratch ceramic sinks and toilets

Perhaps you need an auger with an intermediate length, something more extended than the Vastar but shorter than the Dr.Drain Snake. In that case, check out the next tool below.

General Pipe Cleaners T6FL-DH Teletube Toilet Auger with Down Head

General Pipe Cleaners T6FL-DH Teletube Toilet Auger with Down Head

General Pipe Cleaners Toilet Auger is six feet long and quite sturdy. It’s made of tempered steel spring coiled over 49-strand wire rope. At the tip, you’ll see what they call a “down head.” This type of point is useful for penetrating into contours without getting stuck and shoving obstructions out of the way.

The aluminum handle contains half the drain snake inside it, and it has a vinyl guard at its tip. You can insert the handle with the guard into the opening of your drain or toilet without scratching the porcelain. Then just turn the crank handle to extend the rest of the snake into the pipe.

In summary, this drain auger has user-friendly features and comes with with a one-year warranty against defects in all of its parts.

  • Designed to clear sink, shower, and tub drains, as well as toilets
  • 6-feet long steel coils over a wire core ensure flexibility as well as strength
  • Aluminum handle has vinyl bowl guard to protect against scratches
  • 1-year warranty

  • Requires two hands to operate

The Criteria To Choose The Best Drain Auger

When I started looking for the right drain auger for my home, I thought about two critical features. They are:

  • Simple to use without a lot of training
  • Long enough to resolve most clogs

I wanted a tool easy enough to operate that anyone in the family could use it successfully. The other essential point was that the auger needed to reach the majority of clogs which are necessary to clear.

Lucky for us, the Vastar 19.6-Inch Drain Snake fit both of my criteria. But you may find that the other two augers I reviewed are better for your needs.

Conclusion and Recommendation

Let me recap the best features of the three drain snakes here. The Vastar Drain Snake – the best drain auger for me – is long enough to reach into the P-trap under a sink to retrieve blockages caused by hair or debris. Plus, it’s made of ABS plastic that won’t scratch pipes or porcelain. You can use it with only one hand, and insert it even if you have a pop-up stopper.

The Dr.Drain Plumbing Snake is 25-feet long, ideal for when you have a far-off clog deep in a pipe. It winds up to store neatly in a plastic drum.

Meanwhile, General Pipe Cleaners’ Toilet Auger offers six feet of sturdy steel cable to clear most household drains and toilet blockages. Its aluminum handle has a vinyl wrapper that keeps the tool from scratching your porcelain.

In conclusion, you might decide to purchase more than one drain auger, depending on your needs. Fortunately, they are inexpensive tools that can save you a lot of money in the long run. And I hope you found the perfect ones for your home today.

7. Drain Hair Catcher

Instead of relying on expensive drain cleaners to clear the clogs, we decided to go straight to the source when I discovered that the number one reason our drains were running slowly was hair creating a blockage.

I would catch the hair before it caused problems in the pipes. All I needed was the best drain hair catcher for our bathtub, shower, and sinks.

Top 4 Drain Hair Catchers

1. TubShroom Tub Drain Protector

2. OXO Silicone Sink Drain Protector

3. OXO Silicone Shower Drain Protector

4. Fengbao Kitchen Sink Strainers

The drain protector (hair catcher) I chose for our bathtub is working perfectly. It was easy to install, and it is simple to maintain, too. Even though we take baths every day, I’ve only had to clean it every couple of weeks. And I’ve noticed that the tub drain doesn’t clog anymore.

I’ll describe the top drain hair catcher now, then figure out the pros and cons of the other ones I considered for my home. I hope this review will help you discover the best drain protector for your home as well.

Best Drain Protector Hair Catcher Reviews

TubShroom Tub Drain Protector Hair Catcher/Strainer/Snare

TubShroom Tub Drain Protector Hair Catcher

When I began to shop for drain protectors, I had two goals in mind. The top priority had to be ease of installation. Then the second characteristic I wanted was a simple way to clean it.

The TubShroom met both of my criteria. It was fortunate that our bathtub drain didn’t have a built-in stopper or a mesh screen. All I had to do was slide the TubShroom into the drain opening where it rested on the crossbar below.

The top part of the catcher protrudes approximately a quarter-inch above the opening, which hasn’t been a problem at all. Instead, its silicone body is easy to grasp and remove.

One point you’ll need to consider is the size of your drain opening. Ours is a standard 1-1/2-inch fitting, which is ideal for the TubShroom. Another thing to check is whether you can remove any drain cover or stopper you might have in your bathtub. If you can’t, you might not be able to use this particular hair catcher.

Also, when using the TubShroom, you can’t stop up the drain for a bath unless you pull it out first. Since we usually take showers, this hasn’t been an issue for us. I tend to remove the TubShroom once every week or two to wipe off the hair it caught.

And that is one of the best features about the TubShroom. The hair collects around the base, out of sight. It’s almost effortless to wipe clean with a little of toilet paper that I toss in the trash.

Finally, the TubShroom comes in five colors like Marine Blue, Organic Green, Autumn Orange, and Neutral Gray. We selected Clean White for our bathroom.

  • Very easy to install and remove for cleaning
  • Wipes clean in an instant
  • Silicone body is soft and won’t hurt feet that step on it
  • Available in five colors

  • Only fits bathtub or sink drains with 1.5-inch openings, not shower stalls
  • Must be removed to stop up the drain for a bath

Besides the TubShroom, I looked at a few other drain hair catchers. You might also like one of these that I describe below.

OXO Good Grips Silicone Drain Protector for Pop-Up and Regular Drains

OXO Good Grips Silicone Drain Protector for Pop-Up and Regular Drains

The OXO Good Grips Drain Protectors are made of silicone like the TubShroom, but they have a very different design. Instead of inserting them inside an opening, you can leave them positioned over the top. They are 4-1/2-inches in diameter, large enough to fit a variety of drains.

If you have a bathtub drain with a built-in stopper you might prefer this style of hair catcher instead. At 2 inches tall, the OXO protectors will fit over the top of the stoppers that pop up.

Finally, you don’t need to worry that the OXO hair catcher will wash away. It’s weighted on top with a stainless steel disc. On the downside, this particular protector is rather large and obvious-looking, and it only comes in a light gray color. Plus, the hairs collect on the outside where they are visible.

  • Easy to place over the top of almost any drain, even those with stoppers
  • Made of silicone and stainless steel
  • Weighted, so it doesn’t wash away or slide around

  • Hair collects on the sides in plain sight
  • Only comes in one color

If you would prefer a flat drain protector that doesn’t call attention to itself, you might like the stainless steel one from OXO that I will review below.

OXO Good Grips Easy Clean Shower Stall Drain Protector

OXO Good Grips Easy Clean Shower Stall Drain Protector

The OXO Easy Clean Shower Stall Drain Protector doesn’t replace your current hardware. Instead, it lays over the top of your drain with no installation needed. The OXO specifications state that the protector measures 4.8-inches in diameter.

But since it’s made of stainless steel, it blends in well. The small holes will block most of the hair and rubbish that tries to escape down the pipes. And although the main body is rust-proof steel, there is a thin rim of silicone on the bottom to keep the protector from sliding around in the tub.

  • Fits over the top of most shower stall drains with no installation needed
  • Made of rust-proof stainless steel with a nonslip silicone rim underneath
  • Blends in with the typical hardware found in a shower

  • Hair collects on top in plain view
  • Only comes in one color

I’ve covered three ways to protect your plumbing in the bathroom, but what about the kitchen? Below is a two-piece set that will keep food bits from clogging up your sink.

Fengbao 2PCS Kitchen Sink Strainer

Fengbao 2PCS Kitchen Sink Strainer

Fengbao’s two-piece stainless steel sink strainer set will fit most kitchen drains. Each strainer’s concave center measures 2-3/4-inches in diameter, with a large lip that makes it 4-1/2-inches total. Then, since the strainers lay flush with the sink’s surface, you can lay a mat over the top.

And unlike typical drain protectors you see in kitchens, these have tiny 2 millimeter holes, small enough to catch food particles, fibers, and hairs, but still allow water to pass through. They are rust-resistant and easy to clean.

  • Fit most kitchen sink drains
  • Made of rust-resistant stainless steel
  • Blend in well with steel sinks
  • Sit flush so you can place a sink mat over the top
  • Tiny perforations catch everything from crumbs to hairs

  • Will need frequent emptying if you use the sink a lot
  • Only comes in one color and style

How I Chose The Best Drain Hair Catcher

When I began to shop for drain hair catchers, I considered these features:

  • Installation
  • Maintenance
  • If the design matched the decoration of my home

I chose the TubShroom for my bathroom because it is incredibly simple to install and maintain, plus it came in a color that suited my bathtub. I also appreciate the fact that I don’t have to see the accumulated hair unless I remove it for cleaning.

All of the other strainers and drain protectors I listed today are very easy to put in place. Most will require frequent attention because the build-up of debris will be visible.

Finally, since most homes have stainless steel or chrome fixtures, all of these drain hair catchers should match the typical hardware.

Conclusion and Recommendation

In case you skipped here to the bottom, I’ll recap the highlights of each drain protector.

The silicone TubShroom comes in five different colors. Just insert it into your bathtub drain opening, and it will gather hair and debris, keeping the accumulated mess out of sight.

If you have a stopper that raises up out of your drain, try the OXO Pop-Up Protector instead. It’s weighted to stay in place and lets you open and close the stopper without removing it.

But if you have a shower stall, you might prefer the OXO Drain Protector. It’s a steel disc with a silicone rim that keeps it from sliding.

Finally, if you want to keep your kitchen sink from running slow, try the Fengbao Stainless Steel Strainer. The micro-perforations do a superior job of catching all sorts of rubbish before it goes down the pipes.

In conclusion, I hope you found the perfect drain protectors for your home today.
